Agassi may be stripped of his Slams

Agassi, could be stripped of his Slams he won after 1997 and will he lose more sponsors with his admission to drugs. The ATP  will have to act asap. Although recreational drugs serves no purpose on the tennis court, the sport cannot be brougt in dispute.

Agassi has opened a can of worms. Who is going to wriggle off the hook this time

Is there any rule or law that suggests this course of action? Maybe he could be sentenced to a year and and half in a reality show with Brooke Shields as punishment, instead?

No and in fact there is one that that prohibits it - the WADA 8 year statute of limitations on drug offences. A couple of his endorsers already said they are fine with it because it's so long ago and it obviously didn't become a habit.  I don't think it has much to do with tennis at all in that sense (apart from the ATP's gullibility in accepting his excuse and goodness knows how many others) because he hardly played that year, and he played terribly when he did.  If one thing about crystal meth is for sure it's that it won't help you play tennis...

The recent case of Richard Gasquet and his "I kissed a girl who did coke" excuse comes to mind. No action was taken against Gasquet as a result of the ATP buying this really lame and transparent excuse. The ATP is either really gullible or extremely corrupt. Thanks to Agassi's admission the ATP has lost a lot of credibility as far as I'm concerned.

    A) Agassi is no longer n the ATP Tour. So the ATP doesn't have to act at all.

    B) Stripped of his Slams after 1997 because of one admitted illegal drug use (that certainly didn't help him =\during the worst year of his pro career!) Uh, no.

    C) Lose sponsors? That remains to be seen. But i doubt it.

A can of worms? Rather, it's an unpleasant situation that's not likely to have a negative impact on him or his legacy at all.

    From tennis.com

"He did something stupid and destructive (he used meth dozens of times, according to excerpts of his book) " Some stories now say he was doing it most of 97...

How did he only fail one test and there had to be more than a trace...They just turned a blind eye in favor of his celebrity and drawing power..Some clown from the ATP from back then will have to take a hit(bad choice of words in a discussion about drugs)
