I've just checked out the latest issue of the print version of TW and there is still way too much fluff and not enough tennis. The article about the Miami tournament has pictures of celebrities in attendance.With the exception of Gabby Sabatini, none of the celebs has anything to do with tennis. Woody Harrelson is a fine comedic actor but who cares if he watched a tennis match? There is a photo of a fashion editor at the Sampras-Federer match. Again who cares if she watched the match? Most likely she only came to the match because she got a free ticket and box of popcorn. There is a picture of Elton John at a tennis court. If this were 1975 it might be a big deal but he hasn't had a hit since the Ford Administration. If he wants to hobnob with celebs that's his business but I sure don't care.
If this new TW is to survive they need to put some tennis in it and stop trying to be People magazine.
