    Amazing performance by F-LO

This has to be the greatest win in the career of F-LO, he was masterclass today. He destroyed a very game and tough and confident Delpo who was tremdendously fired up and on the strongest run of his career. #9 in the world, and ascending. F-LO had every opportunity to buckle under the immense pressure with Ferrer blowing a 6-3 head to head vs. Nalbdandian. And when Delpo broke back to even it at 2-2 in the fourth set. But F-LO rose to the occasion and reigned supreme. The whole complexion of this tie changes now.

All because F-LO has finally put it all together and played the match of his career. This win could be a career changer. What F-LO showed today is the quality of tennis that can win grand slam majors. Yes, say it again, grand slam majors. Redhead I'm sure you are giving it up to F-LO,

F-Lo can win grand slams one day, in doubles.  What we are seeing from him has been seen before in other great players not to win a grand slam like Leconte/Forget in 1991, Escude back in 2001, and Ljubicic in 2005.  I am not getting too excited because he has to win the doubles with Verdasco tomorrow, which they can, because they have been playing well together according to the Bryan twins from the prior Davis Cup encounter.

If Nalbandian plays with Calleri, I would like F-Lo/Verdasco's chances. I just do not understand Mancini's choices at times.  Nalbandian/Acasuso may be a better team.

I actually like watching Lopez play just to see his service motion, probably the prettiest in the game.  Then I suffer the emotional letdown after his attempt at a backhand.

Scoop is RIGHT ON with the fantastic play of Lopez.  Tommyboy is hilariously also right on with the emotional letdown after his attempt at a backhand.  But that backhand came through many times in the doubles and when F-Lo gets the turn done I think his one handed topspin shot is fairly clean.  Lopez held serve most firmly throughout the doubles except for the one blip when he had a chance to serve out the third set.  Other than that he was The Man.  Credit to Sanchez and Verdasco for finishing it off.  I was hoping like a typical crazed fan that somehow Acasuso would make an amazing comeback just so we could see another match and more drama.  The Spainards wanted none of that.  Down a set in the singles and doubles Lopez just sucked it up and played HARD!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta love tennis.  The hispanic women at the match didn't hurt the luster.
