I tried directing a letter to Tennis Week about what appears to be a paid marketing piece that Tennis Week claims to have written, but the feedback links and e-mail address to editorial on Contact Us page on this site do not work.
Here is the letter:
Dear Mr. Pagliaro,
While I have generally had much respect for Tennis Week and it's solid
coverage of tennis events and good feature articles, I was disappointed
to see what appears to be marketing piece found at your Web site that
claims to have been written by Tennis Week. See the link with the
article below about Isner and Jankovic both using Prince O3's...
http://www.tennisweek.com/news/fullstory.sps?inewsid=522183
If there really is science behind why it's "remarkable" that a tall and
short player would use the same racquet (...versus what racquet simply
feels best no matter the body type...), why not invest the time of
Tennis Week into writing that article instead of what appears to be a PR
piece about Prince racquets. Was this article paid for? And regardless
of height, both Isner and Jankovic are baseline players with similar
ball-striking technique. However, there was no further analysis or
unbias discussion to be found in this article.
Once again, I am very disappointed with Tennis Week for putting your
name to what appears is a paid marketing piece. Please stay true to your
readers if you want to keep them. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Hugh Spain
