I'm free from work for a few weeks...and for the first time in a long time I was able to watch almost as much of the Open as I wished.  It was great watching so many of the newer players out there giving their all....and it seemed to me there were more 5 setters than ever.

But, next year, if I can watch..........I'm going to send a gag for them to put on John MacEnroe; he talks and talks and talks and drives me crazy.

Then there's John's favorite topic that drives me crazy, too: It's called   "me, me, me,me,me, me, me"

I miss the days of Pete, Andre, Jim C. and that whole gang.  Expecially Pete.

Found a forum on the net called     www.samprasfanz.com      They are sponsoring a petition to the USTA for a statue of Peteh  ). to be put up at the USTA Flushing Meadows BJK Stadium as the best male American player......14 Slams, 6 years as #1, numerous other title, tough competition  (not the walkover someone we all know has had the last 4 years) many awards, charity work,   Maybe Fed will beat 14 slams - seems so. But he's Swiss

It's been so great seeing him come back and play exhibitions; if he'd been in an exhibition at the same time John was on the air.......I'd be at the exhibition.   Sorry........there are some really great new players coming up........but if John is yammering, you almost have to leave.  Otherwise i enjoyed seeing so many neat players out there putting all their heart into their matches.
