either Rainer Schuettler or Arnaud Clement would be playing each other in the quarters of Wimbledon. And that one of them will be a Grand Slam semifinalist again.
These two former Aussie open finalists (both drubbed by Agassi each time they reached the finals) have battled their way into a Slam QF despite being over the age of 30. Both came into Wimbledon having won 4 matches on tour all year. Both have almost identical career W-L records.
Although Schuettler won their first round Australian open match this year, I give Clement the edge because he has more variety. But this match is a total toss up. I think Fed and Nadal are both solid favorites to win their matches. I doubt either match will go five. Safin/Lopez will be competitive. You've got to expect a tiebreak or two, but I give Safin the edge.
Should Clement and Safin win, you would have the Aussie finalists from 2001 and 2002 in the 2008 Wimbledon semifinals.
