    2 Words for Redhead

    Micheal Russell

Poor Spadea, schlepping around in the low rent challengers, trying to pick up points and money for Christmas presents for Redhead and his family and taking one bad loss after another.

Dude, I just left a message for Vince saying he's got to lay low, he's becoming like the Yevgeny Kafelnikov of tennis. I don't know why he's playing all these tourneys and basically not showing up. He's not a real good hard indoor court player and Russell for whatever reason, always kicks V's ass.

But that's the amazing thing about Spadea. You think he's dead and then you look up and he's #77 and if he gets back with Sanguinetti for Aussie, he might make some kind of nice run in 09. He simply shakes off losses like this like they didn't happen.

Cmon dude, you cant be serious about a run in 2009 even with Sangy as coach..

.No offense, but making a big deal about being ranked  77 and his age is a joke..The players between 60 and 160, just keep changing positions week after week, win a match in a decent  tournament, you jump 10 spots, lose three straight first rounders you slide back to your old spot.

He took losses from guys in the 200's the last 3 challengers, indoors schmindoors.

Spadea said he got greedy, and shouldn't have played the three indoor Challengers after Calabassas, but he was working on momentum. He's actually beaten Russell four times and Russell's only beaten him twice, what Vince says.

Look it comes down to does anyone remember that Christian Vinck beat Agassi or that Mark Keil beat Sampras? i do think teaming with Sangy will help his game and remember, only Santoro has a better ranking, and he's only at 52. Vince says the reason why Santoro is so tough is that he's fast, fit and gets a lot of balls, and has a variety most players don't practice against.

If he's playing to be the highest ranked old guy, play the seniors...They seem to have lowered the original requirements, though he probably still wouldnt qualify. Maybe he can start a tour of players that have had books written about them

"He's actually beaten Russell four times and Russell's only beaten him twice, what Vince says." This is proof Spadea is a liar, very delusional, or both. According to the ATP they've onle played 4 times and are even in head to heads.

Yes, but the ATP records doesn't include times they've faced each other in the qualifiers of tournaments. Like in 2005, when we were writing the book, I know Russell beat Spadea in the qualis of Toronto.

Vince knows pretty well how he's fared against most players, so he must've beaten Russell other times in qualis.
