Roddick-Hewitt, does Baby Huey have a chance?

Of all the quarters, I'd say this is the most interesting with maybe Haas-Djoko and Fed-Karlovic close seconds. I don't think anyone thinks Murray (well he's not thru yet as I write this) will lose to Ferrero or that Fed will lose to Dr. Ivo, but Hewitt, could he rear back and knock off Andy. Roddick has been serving ridiculously and Hewitt does not have so much range to cover those powerful serves. But if Lleyton can get Roddick moving he might have a good chance. Hewitt is also a GS doubles champion and if he got Roddick involved in some short shot contests I think he would come out ahead.

Poor Sela, get to Rd. of 16 and gets crushed. Djoko is flying under radar, but Haas is playing very well. I still say it's Djoko-Fed, Murray-Roddick with Murray-Djoko clashing for the title and Murray winning it all! Although, Murray has to play aggressively. He can't play passively. That won't win him his first Slam.

Have you noticed that beides Hewitt and Ferrero, all the other qtrfinalists are all 6-1 or bigger. The big man is dominating at Wimby. Of course, with the demise of Simon, Ferrer and Davydenko and Hewitt before Wimby as big-time players, there aren't any real good short players anymore on the men's side.

I'm still at work (I know I'm slacking, but I'm just an unpaid college intern) so I haven't watched any of today's matches, but it looked like A-Rod put in his best performance of the tournament and that could be worrying for Hewitt. Hewitt has always played Roddick very well as he handles pace serves very well. HIs great returning has always neutralized Roddick's strengths. Also, Lleyton never used to seem to be under pressure on his own serve when he'd play Andy. However, Roddick has won the last 4 times I think although Hewitt should have beaten Roddick in Memphis this year. Hewitt's grit gives him a shot of beating anyone outside the top 4 on any given day. I think Ferrero will take a set from Murray if Murray gets by Wawrinka, but will go down. I think Djoko will get revenge on Haas in a tight 4 setter and Roger will also be taken to 4 by Karlovic.

Hewitt vs. Roddick is always a great battle, they have been rivals for a long time. Gotta give the edge to Hewitt he's got a little more in his bag of tricks.

Scoop is getting brazen, picking the big undie Hewitt against Roddick. First it was Monfils back at the French. Then Murray to win it all and now Lleyton. What next? Are you going to pick Spadea to win the Winnetka Challenger?
