I just finished reading the article, and I found an interesting passage in there. It follows:
But Newcombe said he called the ATP in the wake of the drug
revelations, and was told it was an independent agency that
conducted the test and kept it secret.
The ATP had no knowledge of Agassi's violation, he said.
In its public ...

Pllease check Agassi's 1997 record and tell me how much it ....ahem.....''enhanced'' his performance!
BTW, Agassi's performance of 1997 does not rule the theory that Crystal Meth enhances performance. There are people who take steroids and do not achieve anything athletically, so does that mean that steroids do not enhance ...

Tommyboy - you are not a very good judge of acting ability.
DMan, judging acting ability is very subjective. And we have not had a conversation to determine our respective abilities on the matter. And of course, you must be on the Academy Awards Committee, so you really can believe the above statement.

Today was my day off, and I got a chance to get caught up on some tennis other than the latest Agassi confessional.
I knew that Marat was going to play DelPo, and he expected to lose, but he put up an incredible match considering he is not training or practicing like he used to. After the match was over, and DelPo won, to see ...

to see fellow players showing him compassion and understanding over his
drug abuse
during his playing days, Navratilova said on ''The Early Show'' that she
was unhappy about the fact that Agassi had lied about crystal meth use
and covered it up, until revealing it in ...

Watching Andre ask for compassion in his interview with Katie Couric was just pathetic. It looked like some of the best acting I have ever seen from a non-professional actor. He was taking an illegal, dangerous substance, that he tested positive for back in 1997; then he lied about the circumstances of the test. He goes on ...

Djoko is very match tough right now, and full of confidence.

I used to be a linesperson at Wimbledon in a previous life and I don't
see the Agassi ball posed any more risk of death (a bit over dramatic
...) than the numerous big down the T big serves ... (I even called a
FF once and had the player at the time and then his entourage later
berate me so I'm quite intimately familiar with all aspects ...

Agassi not being vindictive? Or not having a vindictive bone in his body? So what is it?
In my years of watching him, one example of vindictiveness. He tried to hit a middle aged lineswomen at Wimbledon 2001 semis with a 130 mph first serve fault that hit the baseline at first, and then was dodged by the would be ...

I think Martina has a bit of a chip on her shoulder about Stefi.
Martina was the top player until Stefi came along and beat martina like
a drum. I don't think Martina ever beat Stefi after Stefi turned 17.
Martina was slowing down and her time was passing but she still didn't
like to lose to Stefi. That may explain her need to take a shot ...
